Default New Uncracked Record - 12.54

Ratter and I have taken Australia's quickest NA pursuit for a whirl out at the track tonight, on its first shakedown.

Car ran a few 12.8's and 12.7's, a few 12.6's and a 12.54.

We were not expecting anything huge, as its the cars first time out to the track.

We are proud to help in producing another 12 sec Boss, and takes the mind of the blue beast, which is being prepped for the LS1 nats, and its another record of course.

I predict we will see this car in the 12.2-12.3 range shortly.

Chris.

It was a bolt on only deal Matt, it does have diff gears, and a converter from my personal selection.

It drives like a baby on the road, stock suspension, 19" wheels on the front, steelies with ET streets on the back.

Full weight car, completely intact BAR rear decklid, and one 90kg nutcase driver :

Im pretty happy for first time out, this car had the converter I use to "test" a car.

So far its proving my theorys correct, should Mick want to use a slightly different converter, car should have more lockup, may well see 12.0 @ 114.

Congratultions Guy's I seen the runs, the ET's were very good....Chris were you driving the ute the last few passes?
Also do you think the MPH was wrong on the timing tonight 106 mph seems a little low and the reason I think it may have been a little out is that yellow stock BF F6 went 13.0, 4 times and his Mph was down also.
Any thoughts on MPH at Calder tonight?

Being the owner of the pursuit I have to say that I'm extremely pleased with cracking the record on the the cars first outing to the 1/4 mile.

Chris kept telling me the car had it in it and as usual he was correct

The car had a total of 9 runs for the night and every run was in the 12's, Chris and I shared the driving duties.

Most 60 footers where in the 1.9's with one being 1.887

The runs where as followed

1/ 12.748 @ 105.06 mph (Chris driving)
2/ 12.930 @ 104.35 mph (Chris)
3/ 12.897 @ 104.54 mph
4/ 12.933 @ 106.29 mph
5/ 12.934 @ 104.51 mph
6/ 12.548 @ 107.21 mph (Chris)
7/ 12.757 @ 108.70 mph
8/ 12.672 @ 105.96 mph
9/ 12.684 @ 106.03 mph

The car was run as it is driven on the street except for using street radials on the rear on 16" steel rims and hard cover removed (and tailgate open)
The motor is unopened with just the usual bolt ons and edited.
We used one of Chris's baby convertors (as you can tell by the 60ft times)
The standard diff has been fitted with a set of gears which actually complement the day to day driving of the car.
Suspension is totally as from FPV (not even lowered)
Every body panel and trim was left on the car except for hard cover.
The exhaust was left on etc etc

I would like to thank Chris from Bluepower and Mick and Frank from APS frankston for all the time they have all helped with dyno'ing the car and with the editing.

The car is a pleasure to drive and is quiet and actually returned 11.9 l/100 on the way home from Calder

Good work on the Pursuit!
It was a far from normal Suzuki Swift! It had swallowed a turbo!! it got up and going near the end of the track!
That's the fastest Nissan Patrol I've even seen too!!

Hey dude, think i'll hunt a BF F6 again.............lol

The converter in Micks car wont let it MPH - it gives more pos down low, and has more slip up high, which wont let the car MPH.

If Mick wants to use the "b" converter,........

Well done again Mick.
Its an unbelieveable thing that this car has come from a workshop totally apart from mine, and to have you throw yours and franks tuning brains into the mix to help develop Ratters car was fine.

I admit, I was being a bit cheeky putting my magnets on the side of a car I have had so little to do with, and I know this car could be my biggest rival, but in keeping with your customer interest, you guys will be real winners. We need people down your way producing results.

Thanks guys

Chris

Hey Chris you forgot that APS had their sticker on the back window (along side Pit Lane Performance : )

Being a mechanic myself and owning my own workshop (Pit Lane Performance), makes me rather fussy and hesitant in using somebody else for my motor requirements, but not owning tuning software or a dyno, I had to use somebody else.
I had no problems in using either Chirs or APS Frankston, actually a combination of both in this case (great team work) and as the results show, they have produced the desired results.

Chris has proved in the past, his tuning and racing capabilities. APS have proven themselves with LS1's and are fairly new to Ford tuning, but with input from Chris, they will be going far.

Sorry for rambling on, I'm still waaay impressed with what the car has run on a conservative dyno and now the race track and how nice it still drives on the road. The car has not been built to attack the 1/4 which is another reason I'm a little surprised.
