Hey Guys
Can you help ?? Just looking at the tyre pressures for my new car under normal running no load it says 38psi !! Is this right G6ET with 245x35xZR19 Dunlop SP Sport Maxx It may be right just seems a Tad High Loaded is 42psi Many Thanx Keith |

The pressure required is 38 to 40 psi for those tyres.
Remember force is pressure over area. This relates to the area inside, the air cavity of the tyre. Balloon tyres require much less pressure due to the surface area inside the tyre for correct inflation. If we reduce the area for air inside the tyre you have to increase the pressure to maintain the correct footprint for that tyre. |

I run 243/35/19 tyres on my car with 42psi. Max on tyre says 48.

I had 40 psi in mine. After the last visit to the service department, they dropped themselve to 32psi

Yep I have my 19's at 39psi, seems to be wearing even. I had them at 43 when I first got them, felt really smooth on a good road but the middle was wearing a bit fast.

42 Lb on my 17's .. A few quick sprints and the pressure goes up ...

Factory and dealer tyre pressure are for a comfort ride, not for enconomy or tyre life.. just bump them up.
