Haha, yeah does suck that things are built to last 10 years and drop.

If I had a car that was 500HP, old and bloody nice, or even without the performance, I'd prefer it on the road, it's like asking yourself the question, would you rather stay inside and only go out for shows?

Still looking for the car that's gonna make a good project though lol.

I wish I could get inside window louvers like that for my '95 Mustang. I've never seen those on any car in the US. We only get the external kind, and I've never seen a design that looks right for my '95.

Those internal venetians were quite common back in the old days up until the late 70's. After that no one would have been seen dead with them. Good idea though.

I think they're actually starting to come back a bit, there was one up on ebay for an E-series that sold for some ridiculous amount of money a couple of weeks ago, so clearly people want 'em.

Florida sun is nearly as brutal as Australia sun. And I don't like tint. If I were handy with metal snips maybe I'd fabricate my own!

Always good to see an old car with original plates....
Could well be 45 consecutive years or so, registered and on the road !

There the ones that do it for me , as well
Old couple in next town ,bought a new early 60s valiant wagon, still owns it and drives it every day
Wouldnt say the bloke never had the money to upgrade,he owns quite alot of valuable land, probably likes his old car, from a time when life wasnt so hectic
Looks outta place when its parked at the shopping centre, but grabs my attention

Id be interested in these original owner, still driven daily/weekly 1 owner 40 year old cars, and ask why they still have them ???
Maybe they love them , or maybe they couldnt afford to replace them ???

I can just imagine the reason, brought a car that you really liked when you were younger, and they never went out of fashion, and now a collectors item.

It's rather unfortunate that the cars today are that expendable that in 50 years people won't have the same opinion as now.
