i have just brought an air/fuel gauge to keep an eye on things more especially when im running my higher octane tunes. i have asked the question in the au section, and in the electrical section with no 100% positive answer.
for the signal wire can this just run off one o2 sensor, or do i need to trace it up to where both sensors go to (PCM?) ?. any help would be great, cheers.

the standard one is wideband im fairly sure, every keeps telling my to hook it up to the PCM (i checked the installing sheet and found out its the powertrain control module) still would like to know where the PCM is on an AU xr8

Front passenger footwell, bolted to inner guard... below and left of the glovebox. To get to it you open the door, peel the bottom half of the weatherstrip from the door post, peel back the carpet from the front and left side. You won't see much wiring however as the loom plugs into the PCM from above, up in the bowels of the dashboard, and the PCM bracket is bolted in place with shearbolts that self-destruct at any attempt to remove them.
If you are lucky someone will have already had a go at the PCM (to fit a Unichip or Chiptorque perhaps), removing the shear bolts and replacing them with ordinary M6 bolts. Or even better the 2 sensors may be wired together in the engine bay, as I said I don't know V8's...
