Default Roadstone / Nexen N7000 Help

Hi All,

When I got my S2 XR17 inch rims earlier in the year, 2 rims had 2 brand new Roadstone N7000's on them. These rims are currently on the front of the car and are doing a great job, rain, hail and shine.

I'm after 2 more to complete the set if they are a good price.

Anyone know where I could get some. the only Roadstone place I know of is Bissel's tyres in Melton, nice bloke, but he can't get me the N7000's.

I got the tyres of a bloke in Hoppers, but I've lost his number. Nice bloke, a young fella (Andrew IIRC) and was/is an E series bloke.

I'm wondering if these tyres were bought in the Hoppers / Werribee area?

Any help would be appreciated.

Cheers,

GK

Failing that, The Tyre factory in Geelong do Nexen N7000, their Melbourne stores might do them too?

Thanks again. The tyre factory in Thomastown didn't mention them, but they may. I'll call again tomorrow.

Also, the mob Evan put me onto can do the N7000 for $130 and the N3000 for $120.

Cheers,

GK

$120 is good for the N3000, had a set for about 5000km and I'm VERY happy with them so far

I'm looking to get a pair of tyres for my Tickford rims too (2 for the rear to replace the lethal but still virtually new LingLongs...

... the wife got the back out again on the Maroondah highway by accident (hoon) and it's time to consign them to the bin !

Is $130 a piece the going rate?? Maybe we could get a group purchase price GK!!

I'm after 2 tyres at the moment...

... found Federal 595s at Bob Janes to match what I have on the front for $155 each, which would mean I have matching tyres all round. We have no complaints about the Federals, so I may consider them.

However, never to look past a bargain, the Nexens may be on the list!! I'm looking at getting them done next weekend, and as you've "tried and tested" them already, maybe we should get them at the same time!!

Cheers

That's possible Andy, but I may be out of the loop. Just waiting for confirmation on a few things. If not next weekend, the one after though.

If I were you though, I'd be more inclined to go the Federals for a matching set, that way you know you will have the same performance either end when you rotate tyres. Just a thought.

Cheers,

GK

Exactly right - Beaurepaires in Ringwood seem to be my closest source (5 mins away) and having 4 matching tyres is appealing !

I'll have a think during the week.
