Default Replacing power antenna on Auiii xr6

Hey guys,

I have just bought my dream AU3 Xr6 VCT. A very tidy one owner car in blueprint. Working on fixing a few issues. One is the power antenna. It goes up and down but doesn’t go down the full way. Can you buy a replacement? Any tips / ideas cheers!

Brent

Hi. It could be 2 things, a bent mast, that you can check for by setting the antenna to half way and seeing if each section slides into the one below it by manually pushing and pulling the sections up and down or it has had a broken cable inside the mast and someone has fitted a new mast & cable without taking out the broken 3 inch bit in the bottom of the antenna. This lets the new mast retract until there is no room for the cable to store in the housing and the antenna retracts no further. If it is a bent mast ,Aerpro do a replacement mast & cable (AP12 Mast and cable) that should fit. The complete antenna (AP3) is no longer available from aerpro. Cheers MD
