Hi everyone, glad to be part of this awesome site. I'm Dec and mine is an 04 BA XR8 ute. I was never a big car guy until I bought the Falcon but have well and truly fallen in love with the purple boss and glad to find a place for fellow Ford enthusiasts

G'Day,
Name's Martin. Had countless Fords over the years, from an XM thru to the AU, but all have been very cheap second hand cash buys.
Last week I bought a 2013 TD Territory Titanium for the biggest purchase of my life. Happy with the car. Not happy to be chained to a 5 year finance agreement.

Very happy that I've stumbled across this site as I'm sure the collective knowledge here will save me a heap of stress and money over the next 5 years.

Hi everyone.
Thanx for the approval to join. I just stumbled across this forum and I'm quite glad I did. Huge Ford fan interested from the 30's right through to the XC.
Some great information on here so I can't wait to dig deep and learn plenty more about the marque.
Regards Kevin.

Default G'Day Everyone

G'Day Everyone

I decided that my first post should be somewhat of an introduction so here goes xD

So im 21 from country NSW about an hour out of tamworth ive been around fords my whole life my mum has an EF and my dad drives an EB XR8. My first car was an EF Futura that i got for 800 Bog stock and decided to put it on ultra lows and do an EL XR front conversion aswell as a full exhaust.

Since then I have upgraded to a BA XR6 5 speed i know its probably not to everyones tastes but im sure you can appreciate it none the less, Its got a XR8 LSD in it (only 3.4:6 gears), f6 air intake, pacemaker extractors into a highflow cat then a twin 2.5 inch xforce catback exhaust (it sounds pretty mean for a N/A 6).

When i get my full licence I plan to twin turbo a BF GT. Untill then I hope to share my little bit of knowledge with the forum and probably learn 10 times as much as i know already.

Hope too see you all around the forum xD

There are a couple of posts on here about the ABS modulators but they are expensive and they seem to be reaching the age in some vehicles where they are starting to fail. Use the search function and see what turns up.

Hi there,
A South Aussie here who hasn't owned a Ford since my teenage years, that being an '85 XF S pack, 250 4spd manual. Really liked that car. Years and living went by, nearly bought a BA XR8 demo a few years back, but didn't and regret it to this day. Have lusted after an FPV for a number of years, but that also never came to fruition. Jump forward to December 2014, and the release of the "Final 8" XR8, after discussions with she who must be obeyed, I'm ecstatic to say I've placed an order for a FGX XR8 6 spd manual in smoke, expected delivery in August 2015 (which suits us as it will be just after we return from an o/s holiday then.

Anyway, thanks for letting me join, and hope I can contribute

Unhappy Re: Welcome to New Members - Post here to say gday!

Hello, I ran a fleet of over 100 vehicles from the seventies to the nineties, many of them were Fords. Always used to enjoy all the smoke and mirrors at new model releases. Drive days at Sandown were pretty good too, but they did not match the Generals days at Lang Lang. I always chose a Ford until the EA was released with a few too many bugs. Alas company cars are a thing of the past for me. My current ride is a 2006 BF dedicated gas wagon. My Fords past mostly wagons XP, XA, XB, XD, XE, EB, EB and now the BF.

Hey All, glad to be here. Long time viewer, first time at posting. I reside in W.A...i have a 84/10 XF with a MMM body kit, with XC flutes fitted to bonnett, and have adapted BF seats fit. I posted a vid on youtube. I've owned it since 95, and it's had various set-ups along the way. I also have a 'legally registered' 351 cleveland in my 2nd 85/10 XF. And have just recently purchased a EL Xr8 ( again ), and have plans to adapt an ED SPRINT set-up to give it a bit more go.

hi. been a ford fan for a long while and race them in speedway.
ive raced a xd and it was an awesome car for its time.the crossflow was quicker than its equivalent v6 commodore.
then i built a au and it was a very easy car to drive and handled exceptionally well.
now i have just purchased a 2010 fg g6e turbo that was written of so this is going to be my latest edition. currently trying to get schematics for it. thanks

Default Help me o-b ford kenobi, ur my only hope!

Hi there ford fans! I'm hopin there's a super fan here that can give me sum advice bout a problem with my bf falcon! I've rang a few mobile mechanics & they have all told me different things & quoted me for there repairs but, ok I'm a girl & I got no idea & don't want 2 b ripped off! If I new what the problem was id could ring a mechanic & get a quote for that, not a could be this or that quote! The problem is it won't start/turn over! All I get is a click in the engine. I've tested the starter relay and the battery's all good. I've even disconnected the battery hoping to reset any immobiliser issues. It's an automatic and I've been told to check the neutral start switch. Could it be something to do with the immobiliser? (It's just the factory fitted one)
Any advice would be gratefully received. Thanks

G'day guys, just call me Barnsey, everybody else does. I've been watching this forum for a couple of months and it seems like a good place to hang out and talk Ford stuff , so here I am. I'm about three quarters of the way through
pretty much a ground up rebuild of my 74 XB GS coupe. I bought the coupe in
early 75 and decided about 5 years ago that a rebuild was needed, so that's where I am now. The next item on the agenda is paint and I should have that done by the end of summer. I'm really hangin' to get it back on the road.
I'll post some pictures if I can figure out how to.....Cheers.

The easiest way is to use something like Photobucket.
