Xr6 Ute Exhaust Advice

I have just purchised a BA xr6 ute and want to put a exhaust system on it to add a nice note, I don't want it too drony though, just want it to sound good when you put your foot down, and advice on what I should do, do I need a whole exhaust, or just replace the muffler? what type should I be looking for.
