A lot of people have seen the problems with globalisation for decades. The fundamental problem is:

Politicians only want your vote and your money.

Literally 9/10 votes don't matter.

The people who determine who gets into government, swing voters in marginal seats, don't think about politics until it directly affects them. They tune in 1 week before the election, check who is offering the biggest barrel of pork and vote accordingly.

That is why we are f'd...and typing stuff on the internet won't change a damn thing.

Take a good long look at the 97 "asian currency crisis". It was basically engineered to get foreign (USA) capital out of SEA as their unsustainable investments there got close to collapse. They used the IMF to mortgage poor countries so western corporations and HNWIs could avoid losing their $.

Covid 19 free here now. Well no active confirmed cases

Two adults and children can now visit other households and non-essential shopping will be allowed. Though our rules were fairly soft in comparison to other places and not policed to the same extent. I'm not sure they handed out that many fines.

They are continuing to build a temporary 50 bed ED across the road from the hospital in preparation for a second wave.

I'm glad to see that we're backing in Taiwan as an observer state for WHO, they have done a good job. No doubt China will crack the ****s about that and there is some form of punishment coming for us.

I'm pretty disappointed to see us Aussies putting our neck out for what should be common sense and not a lot of support for it.

We alone won't make any difference but potentially take a huge hit. Where the **** is everyone else?

The investigation doesn't have to begin tomorrow, next week, or even next month but it has to happen.

We need to know the where, the why and the how to try and mitigate this cluster**** the whole world has found itself in. That's beneficial to even China.

I know that from US side it is a lot more political than here but excepting a few loose MPs and senators the only official communication that matters is from the PM and Foreign Minister and it has been mostly objective.
