I'm know a proud owner of a set of 17" mags (Thank you Nevermind)
Rubber to go on mext week or two.
So my questions is:

Uncle_Ken the answer is i am sorry to say NO, the offset is all wrong, you can use hub adapters, or worse still spacers. I believe hub adapters are legal in NSW, but check the insurance company will be happy as well.

i wouldnt really even bother putting stock rims on and going through the whole spacer thing unless the tyres are really tops on the au rims

Adapters will be required but something to consider down the track is the larger range of wheels your son can pick and choose from is he converts to AU offset...

The wheels are about 85% in very good nic.

I was hoping he could get some free rubber for no cost. Just want the my 19 Yr old to have a set of newer tyres. The mags on his fairmont aren't in great nic, they look only so so.

What cost would I be looking at for:
Hub adapters,
or spacers.

Could use the proceeds from the sale to get your son a decent deposit on a set of rims or tyres or both!
