Default Photo of Ferrari F620 GT leaked online

Quote:
INTRIGUE surrounding the new 354kph Ferrari has deepened, with a photo of the much-hyped vehicle emerging on the internet before it is unveiled next week.
Ahead of its official debut at the Geneva Motor Show in Switzerland, an image of the Italian automaker's upcoming F620 GT surfaced, Fox News reports.
Submitted anonymously to car site GTSpirit.com, the cell phone photo is said to show a silver-painted wooden model of the two-seat car in its final form.
Until now, the car has only been seen wearing heavy camouflage, most notably in a video released by Ferrari itself. According to the photographer, an even more detailed red model was seen nearby.
Curvier, with a more aggressive face than the $382,000 Ferrari 599 that it is set to replace, the F620 GT is reported to have a 740hp 6.3-liter V12 engine under its long hood and a top speed of 354kph. Ferrari has said that it will be the most-powerful car it has ever made - but maybe not for long.
Rumour has it that the company is also working on a replacement for its legendary Enzo supercar and that it will have a 920hp hybrid powertrain, possibly using a Formula One-style kinetic energy recovery system.

Looks like a beast!

Wonder how close it is to the real thing?

Its sharp backside does give that. I do like the look of the newer Ferraris but they seem to have lost a little bit of style, or substance.

But when you make cars like these then its pretty hard to follow up. Alot of the modern supercars all have the same silhouette IMO...perhaps not Lamborghini though but even their language is getting a bit predictable..same with Aston too. Like they all want to do a "911".

Sure, but what will the Ferrari do any better?

It might sound better, it might have a prancing horse badge....but its probably not much faster and would cost about 4-6 times the price.

Everything...
In 10 years time the Nissan/Renault will be clapped out, wending about the western suburbs like other skylines. Worth nothing.

Not so sure about that to be honest.

R34's on Carsales are still about $50,000.

Plus the total loss from the Nissan would be much lower then the loss from the Ferrari even if the % loss is much higher.

Have you seen the sort of people that have been getting around Sydney in prancing horses lately??? Not much different to the average skyline driver.

I see too many old skylines and the "people" that drive them. Bad enough

Completely agree with new Ferrari's losing their way in the styling department, I think there's just too much going on, granted it's probably form follows function. Still beautiful cars but I love the look of the older ones so much more. The 308 GTB, 288 GTO, F40, 246GT off the top of my head.

go for it, but their is no prestige in that, thats what a ferrari is for. you can drive it 20kmh an hour and more people will be interested in you and your car then the ugly overpriced nissan.

Wat!?

GTR is overpriced? Perhaps in Australia compared with other counties but the Nissan is the known bargain of the Supercar world.

FFS the 2012 models gets to 100 in less then 3 seconds!

still love the pic of the 620.

does it? i dont beleive that, maybe on a perfect surface with perfect tyres. and even then so what? you are judging it only on 0 to 100, who cares? you can buy motorcyles that go less then 2.5 seconds for less then $20,000. the gtr is about as prestigous as a sportsbike, ie not at all. but at least bikes sound 100 times better then the nissan! id rather a 16,000rpm screaming bike then a bland v6 turbo which sounds like my neighbours 1991 corolla with 2.25 inch pipe.

ferraris sound much better then the nissan too - thats another thing about them, and dont need turbocharging to cheat their way to faster times. id rather a second hand v12 ferrari over the nissan if paying that price.
plus every ferrari ever made looks better then it.
plus the prestige factor.
plus exotic engine with individual sound.
etc. etc.

the nissan is only a supercar in numbers. it doesnt have the style, no exotic engine, no prestige to be a real supercar.
its a fast sportscar, but not a supercar.

You sound like you're on ferrari's payroll.
The nissan is every bit the supercar, and I don't believe you can really say it isn't when it was designed to spank supercars all day everyday...and it can.
In fact just ask the member here on AFF who just bought one, with his two 800+hp fun cars I think he is the best person to judge whether the 35 is a supercar or not.

On topic the Ferrari looks great, one in black for the street one in silver for the track, thanks Ferrari!

But its still just a Nissan.
There are some who appreciate cars by stats.
And some who go by the marque, classics, what the brand has achieved.

Don't know why we're arguing GTR vs Ferrari, but, the 2012 GTR will go 0-100km/h in 2.8s - independantly verified by numerous magazines and online reviews. Quarter mile is high 10's at over 125mph. Nurburgring faster than any Ferrari (bar the FXX). Nissan has been doing this along time too remember. Personally, if it was between an R35 GTR and Ferrari 458 Italia for me, I'll take the Nissan. You can drive it every day, it can be serviced by a Nissan dealer and it won't cost $15,000 to service because they have to take the engine out and check for tolerances, it'll be reliable, more usable, and faster in every circumstance. Sure it won't get as many looks as the Ferrari, and won't make as nice of a sound, but it's horses for courses.

I forgot to add the tuning capability of the GTR too. 1500hp kits are avaialble now. Standard internals will do about 600hp I think too.

You'd choose a Datsun over a Ferarri, makes me wonder what you are even doing on an enthiusiasts site, shouldn't you be on the Toyota Corolla forums or something.

And by the way, Ferrari now have free servicing for the first 7 years.

http://www.goauto.com.au/mellor/mell...2579340005B3E0

A Ferrari has passion and soul, a Nissan is just a machine.
