Default Your AU in a screensaver

guys if any of you would like up to 2 pictures of your pride & joy in a screensaver i am making for FordForums members, please refer to the thread in the link below:

I've got quite a few cars already, and it's shaping up to be quite a head turner. Some nice machines there.

You don't have to own a GT to contribute, if it's your pride and joy & it's a Ford, it's worthy to be entered.

Cheers,

Chris.

Ok i've got a full registered version of the screensaver now. Just one catch, i've lost a lot of pictures due to my old laptop (where i started the projects) crapping itself, so i had to start from scratch :(

It will take me a while to go through my emails and re-edit all the photos.. so far only the following people feature:

AdzELxr
crannersEL
davro_xr6
Deadman
fantz
fiery
Full Noise
john_xr6
Juiceman
Mitch_lx
MRFIESTA
superpursuit83
XR6_Gal
XR8fela
zetec20

Still got the BF XR in there too.. might leave it in, add some nice pics of the new car tomorrow.

Please remember to UNINSTALL ANY PREVIOUS COPIES OF THE SCREENSAVER prior to installing this one. If there are any issues please contact me, otherwise enjoy. Next update will be done when i have a few more people send their pics. This version of the screensaver is cancelled only when a keyboard or mouse button is pressed.

The file is a rar file, you'll need something similar to THIS PROGRAM to extract it.

Ok version 2 of the final screensaver has been released, it still has a few little things i need to tidy up but all in all it runs solidly. I spent most of last night editing all the pictures again, as i lost all my edited versions after my other laptop said bye bye. The result is, i'm now crosseyed, but there are some nice looking machines in the SS. I still haven't optimised it for a particular resolution, it's mainly aimed at 1280x1024 at this point, but will function on any resolution. If you have a widescreen laptop like me then you'll lose a bit of the top and bottom, sometimes being where the names of the users are on the pics.

Anyone not listed, i don't have your pics any more, so send them to me again if you'd still like your car featured. I've relaxed the restrictions to 3 pics per car, but up to you if you want 1, 2 or 3. If you'd like pics of a car you used to own featured too, that'd also fine. It won't count against your total, it's 3 pics of each car. Good to see so many cars in the SS, but having said that there are a LOT of nice cars you guys aren't sharing with the rest of us :P You know who you are!

You will need winrar to unpack the compressed file. You can download it HERE . Click the link below to download the latest version of the screensaver. You can always click on the link in my signature at any time too. Feel free to keep sending in pictures, it will be updated indefinitely. There are still around 900 spots left ;p Send the pics to mrcrackers@gmail.com

Hope you guys enjoy it.

Fantz, let me be one of the first to give credit where it is due and to say thanks for taking the initiative to do this for us all.

I'd like to forward pics of the TS but they are a little to big I think. Must get the wife onto it as she is a lot more "computer literate" then I (probably thanks to ebay and such : )

Cheers.

No worries J.C. knowing people find it enjoyable makes it a worthwhile project And the bigger the picture the better, even if it's 2mb.. that way i have more to work with, as i crop most pictures anyway. Send away! mrcrackers@gmail.com

EDIT: i see you've already sent them to me an hour ago ;p Those pics look fine, i'll use them.

i had cleared my inbox, and didn't have all pictures backed up, as they were already in my screensaver project file, which was deleted when the laptop died. In short, send the pictures again if you want them in there.. mrcrackers@gmail.com

a few others i remember which i don't have any more:

tigaEL
AlpineAU

cheers

chris.

continue to email pictures to mrcrackers@gmail.com - including your username please! Still got a few pics that have no owners ;p Let me know if you want your plates in or out too, your choice. THE BIGGER THE PICTURES THE BETTER! The 'random' feature of the ss can be a bit sticky.. tends to dwell on pictures sometimes, so just because you don't see your car within 10 minutes, doesn't mean it's not there!
