This isn't an auction - it's a classified ad with that as the price!
It's obviously a scam but good point about it being someone's car from the Forums .... thread title updated to include car rego

you can check with FPV to match the rego number against the build number. Also the description says it has a cassett player & no way & not in pics either.

In most cases they don't even ask for your money.

Most people will email the person, which will generate a huge email list and it'll be sold off to people all over the world which is why you get spam.

eBay is to blame, they should validate listings before they're published.

eBay make so much money it ain't funny.

The feedback is not a problem, look at the seller box, it says no feedback is given for classifieds.

Well I sent my $10K cash, this is a real bargain. I hope I dont have to wait too long for my car though. The seller said he is shipping it from Nigeria as he cannot drive it there anymore after the King declared some type of ban on high performance cars - does anyone know how long the shipping time from Nigeria usually takes?

you are joking of course,no ones silly enough to believe these scams anymore.
are they?
crikies Merlin i sure hope this is a leg pull.
theres warnings about them on every forum from bikes to boats and even boat motors.
brand new $23,000 outboards for $5000 is one i read recently,he even said he would go through ebays third party safety measure but needed a deposit of $1000, same old story about living overseas , the other one was a month or so ago with another XY GT,i told him my brother or mate could come and look at it as they lived in same country just a few miles away,
you guessed it, no more replies.

She'll be right - this guy seems like a really nice Nigerian fellow. After I paid he emailed me and said he felt bad as he had recently put a small scratch on the car when he hit a refugee (hows that for honesty!). He said I could have the car for $9K now as long as I emailed him my bank account details so he could refund the $1K. Sent off the details but it seems these international transfers take a long time as the $1K hasnt arrived yet.
