Hi all, anyone ever had a good experience with the clowns at Fast ford in Melbourne. I called in today to see if he had a booster for a XY. He did for $400 or $200 if I joined his club, I asked how much entry was and was told I need to book an appointment. Is this the only wreckers you need to have fomal interview to buy goods? I then asked about a tailgate off an XY wagon. He said he just sold a NOS so I asked if he came across tailgates often to which the response involved more swear words than I expected. Looks like I'm still shopping for my bits...

That guy at fast ford is a Moron , i would say to everyone here dont even bother buying anything of him even if your desperate!
funny to think i out of interested asked him how much a clutch fork for a toploader is......he said something like $200-300 for a second hand one... rarespares sell them new for $110... ive never bought anything off him ,never will

I rang him looking for a AU XR Headlight which he says he has on his website, he told me he was 'very busy' straight off the bat & to call him back in 4 hours as he was having a medical done - why would you have your mobile phone one while at the doctors?, he said he had one he could sell me. I called him back the next day & got the 'very busy' line again, then he said he only wants to sell it as a front bar assembly now for $1500.
I hung up & swore a bit & was going to start a thread on here but thought I'd leave it go!

Far out, and here I was thinking about moving to aussie to work for this guy, after the earthquake knocked over my old workshop back in feb last year. By the sounds of it, Im glad I stayed here and re opened whats left of my business from home.....

I just worked out who he is, his the indian guy who sells DVD's & merchandise at Easternats etc & has a rabbit on his shoulder. Lol.

I wnet there once looking for parts for my XY. He tried to sell me a wreck of a ZD for $8000. I wouldn't have given him $500 for it.
He tried to tell me that an XY would look better with the Fairlane dash. Most of the time he was trying to get me in his club. My wife went in their with me. Lets just say we won't be going back there with how he treated us, when i said i wasn't interested in joining his club and putting the sticker on my car. Crazy dude |
