what i do, is have it in 2nd, foot on the brake and accelirator ... and rev it too the point of the wheels spinning, then upon take off plant you're accelerator and realese the break ...

then 1st shift will take place when it does, and you can then choose when you feel you need too change into 3rd ;)

hope that helped? probably not lolz

stock the stall speed is 1800rpm
so rev it to there with your foot firmly on the brake (REAL HARD)
then when the light goes green or just as the last yellow comes on...
release the brake and stand on the accelerator

Nice ride travisty, love that colour on the AU!
What brand are your tyres and what condition are they in? Sounds like traction is the issue? You could also lower the rear tyre pressures for when you go to the drags.

Putting her in D, stalling up, then flooring the accelerator is pretty much all you can do in an auto.

I can get mine to stall to 2200 + rpm, so you should be able to as well.
Drop a couple of PSI out of the tyres, any traction issues you have on the rod, you shouldnt really have at a prepared drag track.
Stall with foot on the brake and accelerator to max RPM you can, release brake on LAST AMBER, and mash it.
You might as well have it in D< rather than row through the gears, as it wont hold it past where it changes anyway, but you might hit the limiter, which will destroy your time.
I usually leave it in econ, but last time (I have CAPA flash tuner now) I manually shifted at around 6400, which isnt a good idea if your car is stock.
Good to see you going to the track for fun, its way more fun on the track then the street, hope I helped and enjoy yourself.

I know this sounds silly, but...

Also try holding the brake on with the very edge of your foot, with your foot on an angle towards the center console. When you launch, slip it off quickly sideways so it springs up instantly.

I don't think it matters at wide open throttle. It'll shift at the highest rev every time.
