Default Lowering

I lowered my car with the help of my brother.

Cost of springs 270. King spring lows.

Plus a 39 dollar alignment.
Good learning experience.
Small photo, bad quality sorry.

Looks to be about the same hight as mine. Looks good. Notice any more harshness in the ride.

Yeah little more harsh, they are variable rate kings though, so they have a little bit of give in them for comfort, then when u push it they get firm. happy.

Next i want the zetec 15 inch alloys and some 205/50/15 rubber! ! ! then swaybars, then to hit some twisties ;)

Hey guys.... im having Camber issues.... my inside front tyres are almost wasted. How are you all going with yours?

Also, sway bars... who makes them? I know pedders said they would have to make a sway bar to be better then the stock..... but would need my sway bar to do so.... meaning 4 days of the car off the road. NO CHANCE

Hmmmm.. another problem with pedders W/alignments :(
Teki: it may not be camber issues, get somewhere else to check your alignment. Could be just a toe prob.

it looks like i have a tiny little bit of camber on the back, and even less on the front, looks tough though ;) hehehehe

My tyres are still practically new, so ill quickly see how they wear.

Teki, check your rear tyres, if they arnt wearing badly but the front ones are it sorta points to a bad front wheel alignment. seeing the back of ours isnt adjustable and therefore not alignable.

But teki, we only lowered slightly so i doubt we would be having excessive tyre wear from the tiny bit of camber we have (look out for a commodore or falcon thats lowered and then ull see what bad camber is all about)

Im not sure if it is my cornering.....Bob Jane will have a look at it tomorrow. The rear has NO uneven wear.... its the fronts that are chewing the inside of the tyre. Quite badly too. Not sure if its from cornering hard.... but still! Will get some photo evidence tomorrow..... Keeping the 195s as the rear tyres are fine, and the fronts are barely legal.... perfect for track days!

usually hard cornering has a detrimental effect on the OUTSIDE of the tyre. thats where all the cornering load is going.

Josh, i had the same idea as you.

Id love to get rid of the space saver when i get alloys, Even if it means i just chuck a stocky 15 in there without the hubcap.

Ive had to drive on the space saver with a really knocked out alignment due to aquaplaining up a gutter, let me tell you it was not a nice feeling driving with the space saver on. wheel spinning everywhere without wanting too.

Also it just felt as though it had no stability
