Just wondering has anyone got any info on this car? has it been any magazine's? if so which ones?

Im building one myself and i reckon this is one super fine example and would love to see more pics.

I was at that same event where that top pic was taken. All I know is that the car is one of the best presented cars I've seen.

it is a great car, and james along with his brother are 2 of the best guys you could meet. i believe james wants to remain as anonymous as possible. I believe he has had multiple chances to have it in a magazine, but has declined

Yeah, I remember seeing under bonnet pics a while ago posted on here somewhere.

I used to run a monthly car cruise in Adelaide in the early 90's and this beast came out a few times when we first started the Coupe Club of SA. When he first got it you could still see the faded sponsorship decals. He tried to get the original motor but the prior owner wouldn't sell it too him for a reasonable price.
It is good to see he is still evolving the car

Wow I remember going to Lakeside with my Dad in the 70's and seeing those big ears ripping around the track. Good to see it is still alive and well.

I remember seeing it a few times on the streets of Adelaide with the sponsorship signwriting still visible. The car was part of Australian Muscle Car magazine's Missing In Action section a while back.

So the Dickson pic is an XB and the Bond pic is an XC and a different yellow (unless its just the light). Is it an upgraded XB or or two different cars?

Yep, XB that was updated to XC, as most race cars of the era were.

yes, it is a jg66 shell. it is the genuine car, but i believe that back in it's racing days, the shell was replaced and restamped with jg66 (it's previous number). it is as close as you will get to an xc gt
if the shell was replaced, it was replaced by the group c team who owned it, so it is still a genuine ex group c race car

if the owner is wishing to remain as anonymous as possible shouldnt aff be respecting that by not showing his name plates etc etc?

after all its not the owner that has posted the pics.

beautiful xb/c but id hate to see it taken because the wrong people saw some clues to it off here...

it has different plates on it now, but it is a pity that people cannot be bothered to delete the plates of others cars - it only needs a little respect to be shown

Well the only reason I didn't black out the number plates in my pics, was because it was already shown with the magazine article that was posted!

Happy to remove my pics!!

EDIT: and as it has different plates now...what difference does it make.
