I've got a suspected dead battery in my Focus, just wondering if it was the issue, would that be covered by Ford warranty or are they considered a "consumable" item like tyres, clutches etc?
Or am I more likely to get blood out of a stone while flying to the moon in my house playing a vuvuzela? |

Not sure, its a bit too late to check.
I bought the car in March this year, its a motorcraft battery for a 2010 TDCI Focus. The supercharge website lists MF66 for their replacement, not sure if that will help at all. |

I'd give the dealership a go. I used to work at a Ford dealership and they can be covered by warranty. Being only 2 years old you should have a decent chance of getting it replaced.

I had this issue with a company BF RTV.
The battery died just after 12 months. Ford cover the battery for 12 months, but the same battery bought elsewhere had a two year warranty??? After explaining this & letting them know we had bought 8 utes over the last 3 years, they replaced it under warranty. |

Batteries are covered for 12 months/20,000km - whichever comes first.
