Default home stereo gear.

i have a few year old sony hifi unit with "super woofer" single rca pre out on the back, if i connect a house externally powered sub would that work with this "pre out" ?

just wanna make sure bfor i blow few hundred on a sub :P

i checked out the sub, was house. 599rrp 70watt just sounded so poor, felt like a disapointed boy that didnt get he's bumper car ride.

i was a Jamo "entry level" apparently. still sounded was not clean bass.

Get a richter subwoofer. They are Australian made and are VERY high quality. After doing some research in various magazines where equipment gets tested I decided on richter for my home theater. Check out thier website. Even the people in the Hi Fi shop I where I got it all said that it was better gear than most of the Euro stuff thats dearer. Matched to my Denon amp the sound is brilliant.

yeh you need to spend a few bucks for a decent sub, you'll be glad you did.. ive got an Energy XL-12 i think the model number is, was going to go for the 10" version but then heard the 12" and it wa game over for the 10" .....
