Default G&D get AU Serious. Official sponsers of AUFALCON.COM!

As many here may have already known G&D Performance were welcome guests at the 1st annual AUFALCON.COM BBQ held at Albert Park Lake. On that day Dave, Matt and Glenn (with families as well) came along and joined in the fun (Matt even had his white AU in the line up). They also spent a good part of the day answering questions, talking of new developments and generally taking time out of their personal lives to talk “shop”. Dave actually put off going back home to SA just to spend the day with us.
What they all came away with was a clear understanding that the AU is far from being dead and buried. In fact, from all accounts, the passion for the car they saw on the day surprised them (and me). It just showed that all the R&D they have spent on the AU over the last few months has been a good business decision for them. We, as AU owners, have ourselves to thank for this. We have shown G&D (and others) just how serious we are. G&D have, in return, shown us how serious they are at becoming the ultimate AU tuning and performance workshop in Australia.

What many of you don’t know is that G&D also approached me on the day to talk about sponsoring the website. They see aufalcon.com as a unique and fantastic idea that they want to be associated with, just as I’m sure we would love to be associated with G&D Performance. As most know, I do not have any “paying” sponsors on the site. To me this leads to nothing but questions and drama. I have never, nor will ever, accept “money for sponsorship” for aufalcon.com. I consider myself a caretaker but the whole concept of aufalcon.com, and this area on AFF, is to look after the members. Fortunately this is exactly what G&D want to do as well. They want to show they are 100% committed to ongoing AU R&D and the performance gains associated with it. They also want to see that its not the site but the members who benefit from this. Therefore we have come at an agreement that I can only see as a winning situation for both aufalcon.com and G&D.

G&D Performance are not only sponsors of AFF but are now sponsors of this individual forum for aufalcon.com. So what does this mean?
It means any member of aufalcon.com (or owner of an AU who is a member of AFF and posts in this forum) is now entitled to a 5% discount at G&D for any work done. Including exhaust, intake, edit, cams, the lot. This means savings of hundreds of dollars for the things like an exhaust, edit and G&D airbox install. Add cams and the savings increase.
More so than the actual discount though, it shows us that G&D are backing up their talk of 100% commitment to the AU range of cars with action. To me, as an AU owner with an insatiable appetite for faster ET’s, this is something that I can see as proving that G&D are here for the long term for us AUphiles.

I’d like to thank G&D Performance for their generous offer on behalf of all AU owners and, just as importantly, thank all the AU owners who have shown that the passion for Fords “forgotten Falcon” is alive and well. Well done guys.

Good going guys, good going Casper. One of the untold frustrations while modding the wagon has been the "oh that car "syndrome. If it wasnt a holden or a v8 it was like we had a disease. Now we are starting to kick their butts. When I tell them it has run a 15.1 1/4 mile they look shocked they dont expect it!! People dont realise that a 14 in an AU six is a very elusive thing ,especially with an auto. Its good to see someone really try hard to find what is working. We have around 245 ci displacement to work with and the potential can be 1 to 1.5 horsepower per cubic inch in na form. This equates to 381 horsepower with a huge cam and extensive work or a drivable 245 horsepower. Its waiting for us just for someone who can to lead the way to do it. Good stuff!

5% off work done is great but what can you do for all the AU forum members who don't live in Melbourne? Any kit prices coming out for AU gear?

I'd love to spin up on your dyno... just to see if my previous figures hold... and a few goodies when I can get down there.... might show the newborn what G&D is all aboot! HAHAHAHA!

What is the normal aufalcon.com dyno run price if we rang ahead?

i was wondering the price too ? , on a normal day ( no au gathering/sponsor day etc ) , just a normal drop in like anyone else . Just a run on the dyno to get some figures ?

There's no mention of AU's on the web site is there?

I know for a fact that an LPG "kit" for AU I6's is currently under evalution and there will be an off the shelf kit specifically aimed at LPG AU's.
