Bluepower for a long time has been using the Boost A pump (BAP) to solve many fuel related issues with tuned boosted cars. The beauty of the BAP is that it can be fitted to any car with ease.
Most commonly the BAP has been used to solve the fuel issues with the new 5.0 S/C Falcons where the fuel trends to lean off at high RPM. This is where the BAP come into play. By Using a BAP there is no need to upgrade the in-tank pump to increase fuel pressure and supply Standard fuel systems will have a voltage difference depending on voltage loads Eg Head lights, Stereo etc. these can changes the fuel pressure to the injectors and causes the engine to run lean. How it works. Wired into the factory wiring loom the BAP steps up the voltage to the fuel pump to keep a constant voltage from 12V all the way up to 17.5V, this is triggered by a boost pressure switch that only turns on after 5 Psi so you don’t get the over fuelling issues at idle caused by aftermarket fuel pumps. The Boost A pump is so good that even Shelby fit them to every Super Snake that rolls of the factory floor. Fitting diagrams are also included with the kits for easy installation Booster A Pump Street Single channel kit is $435 posted anywhere in Australia
