They torque steer like pigs !!

I had one years ago, and that's all that sticks in my memory.

good motor (as they are a mazda)
i know the TX-3Ts came in AWD and thats the model you want, FWD will be a pain in the wet you will be sliding a lot and torque steer will be an issue.
still a lot of fun and they go like buggery.

Had an N/A TX5 Ghia and yep torque steer and wheelspin in the wet but you get used to it.

Very good car overall and it went good.

Parts were never cheap though but I didn't really have too many problems. I would love to own one again one day!

have got an 89 mazda MX-6 Turbo coupe with 4WS, it's done 315 000km and doesn't use much oil at all and still hammers pretty hard, torque steer is fun but it's a wicked little motor for a 2.2. 5spd man too.
As long as it has had good oil and regular 5000km service it might be ok.
Car handles real nice too, 3500rpm to 4750rpm is great fun, has factory plumbed non-atmosphere exhaust BOV

is there still some around? i thought they'd have al torque steered into light poles.
not sure if you'd get used to it but the torque steer was insane when i drove one hard years ago, the car i drove ended up...torque steering into a pole by its owner

They were an awesome little car when new, don't know how good one would be thats about 15 years old now.
They used to really flog, 2.2 litre, only 12 valves and front wheel drive. Yes torque steer was a handful but just hang on tight. Fun in the wet, ABS and great handling.
As for parts now days not sure.
They were highly desirable by car thieves in their day too and the cops even had them as undercover chase cars.
There weren't many around so parts might be difficult or just go non turbo, nahh go turbo.

We are looking at a nice nice black TX5 turbo that a friend wants to sell. Does anyone know if the new Qld P Plate laws would include these?
I can't find a list of restricted cars anywhere. Does anyone know of a link?
Thanks.
