Default Parts for Ford Sierras

I went and had a look at a 1985 Sierra XR4Ti today. This car is in storage and hasn't been driven since 1997. It's got about 31,000 miles on the odometer.

I'm thinking of buying it, but before I commit myself I thought I'd ask some questions.

Since the car hasn't been driven in a long time there's a good chance I may be replacing parts that may have perished, or dried out. How available are things like master and slave cylinder parts, even brake pads and shoes?

I know panels will be almost impossible to source, but I'm looking at the general wear and tear parts.

I'm keen to give this car a go, but don't want to buy something I can't drive.

Here's a few pics, as it stands. Unfortunately I didn't have a chance to grab my good camera

Thanks for that, I forgot about the NZ! They had the 'Estate' version there, too, I think?
This car won't be a daily driver for me, so if there's a problem, I can afford to let it sit for a few weeks till parts arrive.

The UK supply had me worried about shipping costs, though I should factor that cost into owning a car like this...

I own a XR8 Sierra , this is a mission to get parts for it. some are unique to south africa , some are the same as the UK version.
It is easy enough to get the parts shipped over

I've seen pics of your XR8 Sierra... would be an awesome car to drive!

My main problem is convincing the wife that it's ok to buy an imported model... I think I've won, now! Hehehe!
