220 sticker removal

I know there are threads dealing with remocal of stuff but none asking exactly this so sorry mods if i upset.

I want to remove my 22o sticker from the back now that it isn't a 220 anymorem has anyone done this nad if so how and are you satisfied?

id leave it there, the motor is still a 220kw version. which is better than a 200kw one. the motor will still make around the 220kw mark an engine dyno and this is where the figures are from.

You got to leave it there if not for anything else but the **** factor. I left mine there long enough for it to come into use again since now I have 220 at the wheels.

yep leave it on, as you may have 220 at the rears some day too. thats what i'm aiming for.

I'd leave it on because it's factory but easy to get off anyway....
Heat it up with the blowdryer, softens it up and the adhesive at the same time then just pull off !
Polish gets off any other residue left.
Done it plenty of times.
As a thought can replace with a Tickford badge.

Tickford badge belongs on the other side of the bootlid. Also be careful if you use the hairdryer because you will most likely heat the XR8 badge too and if you slip that'll come off too. Easiest way I've found to get a badge off is to use some fishing line behind it and work it through the tape, then clean up with some wax & grease remover.

Thats right re the Ticky badge my mistake.
Only a woodduck would stuff up the XR badge above, hairdryer blowing down wouldn't case an issue. Used the fishing line as well, does the job but I don't like scraping behind the sticker/label and dragging small particles at the same time.

I certainly don't want to hi-jack a thread here, but i removed my badges (with hairdryer) when i purchased my car and now would like to put badges back on, what is the best adhesive to use for this purpose? Thanks.

You'll need new badges.

you can get double sided body moulding tape at most auto paint and accessory stores, you'll need to trim it very carefully to the edges of the badge then just stick it back on, given that the badges are not expensive I'd save the stuffing around and just get new ones

New badges are definitely the way to go, keep in mind though Tickford badges have gone up to about $40, and the "XR" badge is around $25, then you need the 6 or the 8 on top of that.
