XR8's didn't have speed limiters even AU1 185kw manuals will go to 245kmh with enough of a run up.

A police chip is mostly just a story to rip you off so beware.

all police cars are bog stock in terms of ECU's etc, there is no such thing as a "chip", the last Falcon to get a specific Police ECU were the EL's.

Bout the only differences you'll find in an AU that's been used as a cop vehicle will be holes in the dash, possibly different suspension in the lower spec models, a more accurate speedo, and a button on the dash that can black out all the interior lights with one hit.

They (well some of them anyway) also packed a bigger radiator, but other than that and the stuff you listed they were pretty much stock as a rock

pick me pick me :

I have a Au series 1 forte, and you get

xr suspension,
2km increment speedo with the error adjustment,
alloy tailshaft,
alot of holes in the dash area,
removal of speed limiter (i haven't tested as of yet so i can't confirm)
larger alternator but mine died anyway
button to turn off all interior lights
standard rims painted silver with no hubcaps and a noob thinge in the centre
cigarette holes in the backseat, i was lucky only got one.
and a fire extingusher in the boot.
and also when your bidding for it at pickles none of the dealers will bid so the prices are usually lower :
i think thats all.

edit - just realised you were talking about a xr8 : sorry
