Not bad result i suppose, given the current climate. Ford may be only a little up but holden keeps on dropping....over 10% down each month is not good.

Territory is doing ok for the very old, and pretty fuel hungry reputation its got. The captiva (even with a 'efficient' diesel) couln't beat it so it all ain't bad.

What is up with mondeo, its at 300, then up to 500, down to 300 again? Is it a supply issue or is the medium segment down again???

Disappointed with the Mondeo sales, that car deserves to do better.

However Focus sales look good.

Ford should be reasonably happy with that result given the climate.

There are others like Fiat, which now has the 500 and the Ritmo. Renault had a strong month as well.

Well that is good news for Ford. The only one to have a gain even though its small. I do know for a fact that the AWD Territory has fallen in sales heaps, only the 2WD is selling at the momemnt so i would have to agree it does need a facelift and possibly a Turbo Diesel when the V6 is introduced.

All you can ask for really.

Racecraft, I am tipping that those fairlanes are still new on the lot.

In contrast it's a good result for Ford. Did any of the other mainstream companys make a positive result (sorry but I don't see Fiat or Renault as mainstream)

Could the Focus sales a direct result from the new ad campaign? Or fleets that were waiting for the new Falcon then deciding to go for the Foc?

So Holden sold 300 aussie built units more then Ford did (in oz). Hmmmm yeah Holden would be packing themselves as well, they're lucky thay have the wagon thats selling.

Great to see Ford go against the trend and actually gain sales but remember it's compared to Oct.2007 which could have been a real bad month for Ford

True Ford had a pretty lousy year last year, when everybody else was having a good one, now it seems to be the opposite.

Remember raw figures don't mean as much as market share, and this month Ford would have had an improved market share, which is a good thing.

Am i reading this correct: Holden Commodore 3,810 V 4,440 last year, down 630 units yet 1400 od units of that are the Commodore Hatch? the sedan is coping a hiding at the expense of the Hatch.
Not 1 single incremental sale from this new model.
