I love the brand and the cars they make, but they just can't get a leg up can they, and that's after multiple re-inventions over the last 20 years.
Completely agree. I reckon they're going to sell about 20 cars a year worldwide when they swap the current aluminium ICE lineup for those 3 EV SUV things and price them near Bentley.

One of my favorite car sounds......................

The Aston V12 has a much deeper sound to it compared to the high pitched squeal a Ferrari or Lambo V12 makes. Strangely, I love the lazy sounding up shifts. I even love the sound of the starter motor!

It does and pulls real hard too. One of the very few V6's I like the sound of.

It does indeed. Here's a slighly more Chav F-Pace review than the last one, the V6 sounds great!

The JLR V6 in Jag spec had a lot of time put into the way it sounded, mainly on the exhaust to give it that Jaguar growl. When I drove the whole F-Type lineup a few years ago, I sort of did it the right way. Started in the 225 kW 4-cylinder turbo, progressed to the V6, then the big boy V8. The 4 and 6 were RWD and the V8 was AWD. While the V6, and even the 4, were fast, they didn't have the planted feel of the V8 on a wet Sandown track. As loud as the V8 is though, the V6's were surprisingly up there for sound.

Our XE is the base 2.0t, I can only dream of how good that chassis would be with the V6 up front. The supercharger whine is so unexpected in that car. A 5.0 second 0-100 is up there too.

This is what the 2.0t sound like in comparison. I really like they how make a seemingly boring engine have some attitude to it.
