Default ENGINE DEBATE! 85kW or 74kW?... THE ANSWER!

OK, after talks about which stats to go by, the Log Book or the Manual... i think i have the answer.
NOW, the 74kW is the 1.6L duratec currently found in our car here and in the UK. It is a 4 cylinders in line; DOHC; 16 valves; alloy cylinder head and block; electronic multipoint fuel injection; electronic throttle engine, as stated in the Owner's Manual. This is the same engine also found in the NEW focus (in UK). Now, the 85kW is the 1.6 Duratec Ti-VCT, which is also found in the new focus (Here and the UK), but im most certain is NOT the engine found in the Fiesta. It is a 4 cylinders in line; DOHC; 16 valves; Twin Independent Variable Camshaft Timing (Ti-VCT); alloy cylinder head and block; electronic multipoint fuel injection; electronic throttle engine with about 5Nm more torque, but 11kW more.

So, according to sources here and in the UK, we have the 74kW engine, which has posted 0-100 times of 10.4 here, and 0-60mph of 9.9 in UK... looks like the model update for the Fiesta might get the 85kW engine.... DAMNIT

I wonder how many components the two engines share. By the look of my dyno I would say it uses more aggressive cams as these ones run out of ruff above 4000rpm and level off power.

CORRECT

The Fiesta here gets the non variable 74kw engine (when run on Premium fuel) Duratec, we don't have the VCT engine.

As for new Focus, we get the 2.0 Duratec HE engine, the 107kw version. or 145 HP
