Smile Tyres, what to buy

40,000 km on a set of tyres on a 2 litre turbo diesel wagon (Mondeo) is not too shabby isn't it? Actually, should get a few more thousand from the rears. Mostly sensible driving (also have an NB MX5!) always within the speed limit. The tyre? Maxxis HP5. Will replace with the same I think.

I got 37,000 km out of the OE Conti's.
Replaced with Goodyear F1 Sport. Best tyre I have driven on. Currently at 56,000 km, with still plenty of tread left. Expecting mid 60's out of them.
Pic attached of how they look now.

Thanks the bigd. Doesn't appear that I can get them in my size. 235/50/17. In fact Goodyear don't seem to have my car.

Yes it looks like they don't have that size in the F1 Sport.
Sorry, mine are 18's.

I consistantly got 16000km out of my front tyres - always aligned, but due to no camber adjustment, always scrubbed the inside of the fronts.

18 inch Titanium wheels on my MC LX wagon.
