Default 275/60/15 Vs 245/30/22
Lol while i was having some tyres fitted to my new rims for my project i had a nosey in the shop and there was a 22 inch rim off a ve in there with a 245/30 tyre fitted, so out of curiosity i rolled the old fat boy in beside it and was surprised it was actually a tiny bit taller than the 22!!!

That's because the profile (height) is a percentage of the width of the tyre. I've had a few beers so CBF with the maths but that explains the the difference.

haha yeah i know how the percentage thing works just didnt think that my old 15 would be bigger than a 22 lol

gcg2503 i might have to start saving for a set of 22 rear and 20 front foose nitrous!! lol

I hate this fad of stupidly large rims and just a couple of rolls of electrical tape around them supposedly acting as tyres. Makes for a very poor ride!

OMG...my mates old R33 skyline (my formal car) had like no sidewall...i had a sore bum driving from my house to the formal...which was less than 15 mins away!

His car had extremely hard shocks though, and was lowered with guards rolled and what not!

How can I post a pic of it up here? :

Thanks so much V3RSAC3, already had a pic in photobucket, just not of the biggest rims he had on it...! Just wasnt sure what code it was.

These were his 18's? 2 weeks before he put the 20's on!

Not sure how big/small this pic will be, sorry if it is extreme!

Instructions here

1 Get an account at www.photobucket
2 upload Photo (follow links on site, its easy )
3 Start thread. I opened a second IE to help, and minimised the one I was not using at the time.
4 Under your picture at Photobucket, it has three boxs, Url, Tag and Img.
left click on Img, right click on it and select cut.
5 Select thread page up and sit cursor where you want it and right click, and select paste
6 Presto

I just put the tyre size's throught a tyre and wheel calculator and the 15 is 10mm higher.
245/30 22 = 701mm high
275/60 15 = 711mm high

I'd rather go the 15s with those tyres
Although it's probably easier to find a 22" tyre then a 275 15.
