Default XR8 wont crank?

Hi All.

Went out to the shed to wash my car yesterday and it wouldn't start.

The battery was preety flat, so I connected my jumper pack and kicked it over.

Too start with it would wind over and then just click from the solenoid like it does when flat. So I charged the battery and the jumper pack and tried again.

The second time, the car wouldn't even crank or click. So I cleaned the terminals and swapped the battery.

Now with a fresh battery & jumpstarter it refuses to even wind over... No clicking even. Voltage and everything is fine?

I'm wondering if the starter motor is gone? Or maybe solenoid?
The smartshield light isnt flashing when I attempt to start so I don't think its immobilised.

Any ideas? Maybe a good whack to the starter lol

So after ringing infernosr and doing a little troubleshooting it might be the immobiliser after all.

When I turn the ignition to ON, The smartshield light stays lit up... Usually its meant to illuminate for a few seconds then turn off... So perhaps there's the problem?

Yep tilt tray up too ford... Smartshield was active. Recoded key to BEM, and away it goes.
