I only saw one FPV ad in the time I've been watching (not the whole way through). What the hell are they thinking with such a poor effort.

P'raps they see little to no value in selling to people who have already made up their mind on which car they like?

For the mass market sales they seek in general, the viewer demographic just isn't there.

Actually it was advertising a current "across the range" sale for private buyers being able to buy at fleet prices.

I guess it all depends on which company is willing to pay for the ad time. We all know Ford Oz are scratching for coin at the moment.

And it was actually an ad for a Melbourne Lexus dealer (Blackburn Lexus) so I doubt that would have aired anywhere but in Vic.

Was thinking the same! No Ford adds at all during the Bathurst coverage. (This is 7 /Prime TV/Ballarat region) What I did see though was the HSV LS3 add a heap of times. Gotta be pro-active, and financial I guess.

the people watching Bathurst would already own either a Ford or Holden, and have their mind made up. why bother with advertising to these people? Just seeing Ford getting their third win in a row demonstrates the supremecy of the brand!!

I am sure paying for an ad during bathurst is a waste, some either leave the room during ads, flick through the channels during ads or don't watch the whole telecast, so spending all the $$ on ads would be wasted. TV Isn't the only medium for them to communicate, I would rather them spend the $$ joining in community events, bringing the cars to these events, get people to see them.

Here's the best ad Ford and FPV could ever want.

I saw 2 FPV ads and about 6 HSV ads. I don't think it really makes a difference with these cars, I think they just need to be advertising the rest of the Falcon range more.
