Default Boss Uncracked Record - Title Shot

Hi guys,

Whilst edited are busy writing fairytales, we have been nose to the grindstone with a clients 290 project.

Car is a pursuit ute, unopened 290 with bolt ons.

Expect a show at calder guys, we will lap the thing into the wee hours, as my client has instructed us that he wants a shot at the title. Current record being a 12.62, or a 12.69 depending on what rules you follow. Hopefully edited can bring a car too, i'd like a side by side race......

See you guys out at the track, it will be the cars debut, its red, its fast, and come and say hi. The car has been fully prepped down to the tuning at Automotive Performance Specialists in Frankston. (yeah, those quick LS1 guys......)

Power to the people for free speech

There is nothing wrong with a bit of grudge racin between tuning shops as it can only be good for us Ford owners.

The post was edited by Russellw, if you got an issue maybe you should take it up with Russell

There is a difference between free speach and down right being childish.

I really think you need to decide whether you want to work to improve the forums or move away from them.

hoping you not only set the record again, people realise the amount of time and money you personally have spent getting there, and setting the benchmarcks for everyone else

Good luck

I couldn't say that to my little 4 year old nephew.

But I'll tell ya one thing I've got him hooked on cars and anything fast with a motor, Like my nitro scooter he loves going for a ride on it with me riding it of course.

Good things come to those who wait, I'll be out in the near future when the temp is just wright for another record run. :SaiyanSmi

The edit did not in any way change the content of the post except to remove an unfortunate reference to a competitor. Those struggling to read it are thus barking up the wrong tree.

Great news guys, good to see a 290 out there kicking some butt, those 260's have been stealing all the limelight.lol

I have been busy with work atm, my truck has been working 22 hours a day and the maintenance is huge, and with the birth of my son i have been to the wall with any spare time.

Family and work are my main commitments, with racing my ute a very distant 3rd.

I have heard a few misinformed comments about my choice of tuning workshop, and not racing as often as others. And quite frankly, do not want to get involved with any inuendo aimed at me personally or my cars somewhat lack lustre performance to date.

I hope to get my ute out there in the not so distant future, and have a bit of fun and catching up with some of the great people that make these forums great.

Good luck with the un opened Boss 290 record, its been a long time coming since Rod Clarke set it, no edit, diff gears, stallies etc......

Wont be the 1st to only run a time once, and wont be the last, 12.6... 12.8 a couple of times, had quite a few 12.9's.
Good to see its never forgotten, suppose people always remember the 1st...
it wasn't a easy task getting the Pursuit to go without having the luxury of the edit.
But boy it was a lot of freezing Cold fun.
Very soon hopefully inside the next 2 months, 140 plus Mph and Rod will be back on the track....he is really missing the fun...
