ok the earth wire must not have been secure at the fuse box
or the motor you were given was faulty

there was a switch was the window working after you refitted the motor
also were the wires through the door to body cut or damaged to cause the power wire to spark to earth out before the fuse ?

how much damage to the wiring and it looks as if the fuse didnt blow

first you need to go back in and test the motor and switch
replace the burnt wires get a good earth
and then check the amperage between the fuse contacts

i have got a wiring diagramme for the power windows if you need it

had a look into the wiring diagramme
only one earth for all 4 window motors you may have a faulty main window operating panel or a switch or one of the other 3 motors is also not right

its not going to be a fun job tracking down the fault

you will need to have a volt meter or a continuity meter

you may have to go to an auto electrician to get that fixed
