Default Au Xr8 Specs

Can anyone tell me if all the XR8's came out with roller lifters .
And what type of mounting did they use on the rockers in the series 1 ( stud / pedestal etc . ) If the series 1 had roller lifters are they ok to still use ( along with pushrods ) when installing a crane 2030 with matching springs or will i have to replace the lifters with something different ?

Yep, all AU V8's have roller lifters/cams.

All AU V8's have pedestal mount rockers.

Yep, you can re-use the lifters on a new cam..no problems. It is a good idea to disassemble and clean them while they are out.

Most aftermarket cams have a smaller base circle so they require a longer pushrod. The other option is to get adjustable rockers to make up the small difference.

Do you mean roller rockers? As in somthing like Yella Terra St2027 1.72 ratio roller rockers? If that's what you mean, then NO, they did not. They came out with standard 1.6:1 ratio rockers. The YTs are a good upgrade; both in terms of performance and reducing valvetrain wear and tear.
