Default Lowndes' own ute for sale ......

If anyone wants Craigs ute, it is for sale. Not a bad starting price

Media Release
Wednesday, 3 September 2008
From Fordracing.com

OWN CRAIG LOWNDES' UTE!

Ford Racing website members have the unique chance to own the #1 Limited Edition Craig Lowndes Ute as part of the site's monthly online auction.

Just 650 vehicles of the limited edition Ford Falcon XR Ute were built with Lowndes taking possession of the first unit off the line when the vehicle was released in October 2007.

Designed to the V8 Supercar star's requirements, the auction item is a black manual XR8, offers nearly $6,000 worth of additional equipment on the standard Falcon Ute, and features an owner's manual signed by Craig Lowndes.

Extras include a set of four 18-inch sports alloy wheels, a one-piece hard tonneau cover with integrated power bulge and rear spoiler, Momo steering wheel, prestige audio system with six-disc in-dash CD player and iPod/MP3 audio player input connection and "by Craig Lowndes" decals.

Worth $42,595 new, Lowndes kept the XR8 Ute for use on his Queensland property and only has 11,411 kilometers on the odometer. The reserve price for the vehicle is set at a very low $29,000.

The Lowndes Ute auction is open exclusively to Ford Racing website members and ends 30 September at 4:00pm EST.

I think if he did actually put his "requirements" in, there would be a lot of decent options in it.....

You think being Craig's ute and all Ford would have gone to town on it.

Oh well.

Why would they? It is pretty much a lease vehicle in the way that Craig would drive it for a certain amount if time and give it back when Ford says so.
