Went to buy a bf gtp and came home with this

Went shopping for a new bf gtp but i wanted to check out what the oppositions had to offer.sorry to say but the oppositions blew the gtp in every aspect.this is what i ended up with until the orion gtp arrives.

You must've gotten the manual then because the auto sucks big time. The power and handling of the new HSVs sure make it a formiddable package. You'll be back come orion !! Just like our WM Caprice will bugger off come orion too! I think you might have to change your username for the time being though!!

Well done mate! It's no secret the red lion has the better package overall, and in conclusion I'm also treading into a Holden dealership shortly to consider replacing the Ford for a VE.

Shes a beast.
Power is just unbelievable.awesome power from idle to 6600rpm.its like its got a turbo or supercharger the way this thing goes.ive got a xr8 tuned with exhaust and some goodies and i tell ya this gts will have it for breakfeast.the wheels are just **** hot and the suspension is just amazing.this car is just in a league of its own.

Mate unless your considering buying an HSV I wouldn't bother looking at the VE's. The lower models and even our Caprice really aren't all what they are made out to be.

sure hope i will be back when the orion comes out, ford just have to make a better package and i will be back in the ford stable.my username is my number plates on my xr8.still a ford man and that will never change

Not bad BLOHSV, im not a fan of the VE HSV rear end but the front looks pretty tuff and with the LS2 you have a good basis for future mods.

ive got a ba xr8 and at that time the ba's were better than the vy's and like you said we will just have to wait and see what the blue oval brings and lets hope its a weapon.

nice ride though, for some reason the new HSV's look far more filled out, if you know what i mean, where as the BF FPV's and such look kinda scrawny compared to these and the Orion FPV's

I think the rear of the HSVs is actually ok. Much nicer than the Commodore-Calais rear.

I reckon the VE has gotta be one of the best looking 4 door sedans in the world. The HSV GTS is even better. One great piece of kit. t was certainly on my hit list when I eventually bought the 330Ci convertible a couple of months ago. I hope Ford doesn't make the Orion look too fat. I love my XR6T ute too!

You should give us a regular update on how it goes:

I have heard the MRC has had a few problems and put it on the dyno to see what it puts out.

I'd imagine FPV is having a bit of trouble at the moment moving stock (except GT40).

Just hope you dont reget it when Orion comes out or when series 2 VE comes out with 325kw 6.3L LS3

I'd make the same decision mate. There is no contest. I reckon the HSVs look brilliant, especially in that dark grey colour.

Nice car mate, at the end of the day we are lucky to have such a great range of Aussie muscle cars to buy at our will.

The VE's HSV's are a great looking car, but the boys at G&D tell me the L98 engine fitted to the SS VE's are heaps better in head design and will put out more than 300RWKW with only a baby cam and exhaust package.

Food for thought on anyone wanting a HSV eater in a cheaper car !

I could see myself in a Black WM Caprice, lowered, tint and a set of 20's on it, and a G&D cam and exhaust package.......Mmmmm....got me thinking.
