Default Guess I'll be spending some time in here now..

Well not even 1 hour ago I put a deposit down on a new Titanium.
We've optioned it with the TDCi engine as well as the Sport Exec pack. Found one in the colour and spec we wanted at a fairly local dealer who had one in stock, so no waiting

Hopefully pick it up early next week.
Pics will follow..

Matty

Good on you!

You won't be disappointed. In fact if your experience is anything like mine, you'll just go to be more impressed with it as time goes on.

Look forward to the pics!

White.....it's really growing on me as a colour.
With the gloss black and chrome trim around the front area it does look good IMO...

Pick it up Thursday..

Great choice of colour. I love looking at my focus. I've also got white with the sports pack. Pics are in the "2012 titanium with sports pack"
If the petrol drives as amazing as it does, then I'm sure the diesel would be just as good or even better!

Yep..........saw your thread (even showed my wife the pics in there)
She saw them and liked the look of it in white also so in part we have you to thank for that choice. We never actually saw our car in the flesh, we test drove a Lunar Sky coloured one.

Looking forward to picking it up.

Update...
We arrived a 2.00pm to pay for and collect our new car.
Met the salesman who I had been dealing with over the phone after the deal was done.
(I should point out at this time that I had learned that this dealer had in stock the particular car we were after. My mates nephew happens to work at this dealership so I rang my mate to see if his nephew could get me a good price on it. 24hrs later he came back with a price that I thought was a good deal so I told him I'll take it. 2 days later I received the sale contract via email and checked it for accuracy as far as names, numbers etc., ....you can see where this is going...right!!??)

We walked through the showroom door and greeted and shown to "our" car, I took one look and said, "This isn't our car, we ordered the one with the Sport Executive pack, this doesn't have it!!"

Apparently wires got crossed somewhere as they had 2 Focus Titanium diesels in white in stock, one with and one without the SE pack. The one with the SE pack was sold off the floor 30 minutes before we arrived to pick it up, as there was no hold on that one......

So now we are waiting for them to locate another Focus Titanium diesel with the SE pack, but we may have to settle for a different colour. I'm hoping not, as it looks brilliant in white.....

Stand by and wait................

You seem cool about the whole thing. I would have cracked it.
What was on the contract of sale? Did it state the S/E/Pack?

They better be throwing in extra accessories for you then. Or just demand a courtesy car, just because you can and you got stuffed around with.
Hope all ends well though. I drove by a white Sport hatch tonight. Looked soo good, and it made me smile. Haha.

Unfortunately when you have 3 different parties involved in the purchase of and sale of a new vehicle the way we did, the blame for the stuff-up can go across all parties.

I know what I asked for but I am not 100% sure that was what the salesman heard after it had passed through 2 other people.

Yes I should have checked the order more thoroughly when it arrived but last week was a week from hell here at home and I assumed (silly I know..) that what I asked for was what I was going to receive.

Yes the salesman should have also confirmed with me that what was relayed to him was what I requested too!!!.....there are no winners here ATM.

That order has been cancelled and they are attempting to locate another one in the same spec and colour. Fingers crossed.

A friend of mine was after the same car as you & ordered it in late Feb!
She was told they didn't have one in the country, on the water & none were in production.
It arrives early June

I have the same but mines one of the better looking ones! It’s a sedan

Ditto. Only in Midnight Sky.
I know hatch lovers will be hatch lovers, and I was close to buying a hatch. but the other day my wife was driving the sedan and I was following her in my car and I really like the sedans stance and looks. Even when I was in front the DRL's look Angry Eyebrow Aggressive in my rear view mirror.

We're back in the club....
Put a deposit down on another Focus WITH the S/E pack, in white too...
Apparently it's the only one in Australia ATM in this spec.

Only issue is that it's in Sydney
Just gotta decide, do I fly up and drive it back to Melb or pay a bit more and have it trucked down here for collection?

Only issue with driving it home is that running it in whilst on constant cruise may not be the best thing for it. Opinions?

Cheers,
Matty

Yep.....just spoke to the missus and did some sums, it'll cost me $120 taxi to the airport, $200 for flights (i'd take my 8yo for a trip) $90 in diesel plus $50 in food and stuff for the drive home. They are charging me $600 to truck it down and it will be cleaned and detailed again on arrival here before I take delivery.

Was looking forward to another road trip too....oh well...

this is so funny...

A few days back i was about to tell you that there is one here in Sydney (2 minute walk from my place), however I did not say anything as it's a petrol model and I thought you wanted a disel.

Great news Matty 4.

Always love a happy ending.

BTW is there a Melbourne LW focus owner meet?

Maybe one can be organised where we could all meet up and share our experiences?

Twins with mine! Except for diesel/petrol part.
I'm glad your dealer got their act togeter and found one for you. Good choice in getting it put on a truck and delivered to you. I'm sure the $600 would be better than having stone chips before you even get it home.

My dealer did no such thing!!!!
They still haven't got their act together...
A forum member on here PM'd me with the listing for the one in Sydney.
I had to do all the work myself. I gave my dealer a deadline to find me another car and they failed to do so, therefore I took matters into my own hands.

It's very disappointing when sales people try to deceive, manipulate and then even outright deny things, but are still your best friend when there is a sale to be made....
Lesson learnt......................again!!
