Focus LR every now and again when you go to start it, it just sits there winding over but wont start then you try to start it again it starts? whats this caused by?

That makes sense to me.
Think of starting as two actions. One, turn the key to the "on" position then wait about 3 seconds. Then turn the key just a bit more to "ignition"
