Default Led globes

I have BF xr6 and tried led globes in the indicators (rear only)and they flash like crazy, what needs to be done to slow them down.

Issue is not enough load on the Blinker circuit (due to LEDs drawing less current than normal bulbs). You need to either replace the flasher unit to one that is LED compatible or add a resistor/bulb to each side of the car

Yep, you can't just replace the indicator bulbs with LED's. Nor the brake light bulbs.

Can't change relay as I believe it is part of electronic system. How does the resistor fit into the system.

Put it between the pos and neg of the lead going to the LED cluster.

The value and rating of the resistor will depend on the original rating of the bulb as it has to emulate its current draw.

e.g. if it was a 24w bulb it would draw 2 amps at 12v (2a x 12v) so your resistor would be 6 ohms (12v / 2a).
The resistor would have to be rated at least 5w or preferably 10w so it does not overheat easily. If you spend all day in traffic and indicate constantly then an even higher wattage would be prudent.

Narva makes LED load resistors I think.

http://www.narva.com.au/products/bro...oad-resistor-3

Solder it in, don't use the scotch lock or it won't work after you drive out of the drive way.

Sorta, my cars got a few Chinese parts.

When it's cheaper to get alloy bends shipped from china then walk across the road to supercheap then why not. Better quality too believe it or not.

Catch can's from America and was nearly half the price of anything similar I could find local.

Few silicone bends from the UK etc..

Most wedge LED's i've bought over the years are from china too just no more important electrics.

Allot of shops important the same stuff just add their bit on top.

Wiring looms are usually Sumitomo.

Pretty sure he was being sarcastic.

I will always try and support Australian built cars but if the aftermarket gets greedy then I have no problem going overseas.
