Default Advice needed please.

A mate is looking at buying an 11/2001 TS 50.
It is fitted with optional Brembo's and the premium sound package.
Has 7192 klm, and is $33500.

Hmmm, not a bad bit of kit either.
He picked it up at lunch time and we drove the **** out of it, for evaluation purposes of course!!
The motor sounds like it will rev to 7000, pitty bout the 6000 rpm limit, the brembos are fantastic and the ride is superb. A well rounded package in my opinion.
This is saying something coming from a Holden nut like me. Ive never driven or ridden in a performance Ford, and I was impressed.
He even mamaged to drop the changeover figure a couple of k.
Lucky for Mark he got in when he did as not long after he commited to buying it, a Sydney gent rang up and supposedly offered 10k more than they were asking saying he'd seen one advertised and sold in Perth for 48k.

Exhuast mod time. What you guys recommend? And from where.

HRT8, was this TS50 red / manual? From Shepparton?

I think I know who that Gent from Sydney might be. Read the thread below.. :hihi:

Ah yep that would be the right car.

Bad news for Pies1 was the 2.5k my mate knocked off their price. Dealer actually knew very little about the car and its options, telling my mate it was a 62000 dollar car new. Option like it is, would see the price go from 66500 to the best part of 73k plus on roads.
Not too often we the car buying smooes get to screw over a dealer.

I'm not surprised the dealer does not know about the car. 99.9% of the population out there would be in the same boat. Hardly anyone knows of the, TE50, TS50 and TL50 cars. They weren't pushed out to the public as the latest FPV vehicles have been.

Get a crowd of say.. a 100 average Joe's, ask the question 'who knows of the Ford TS50?', you'd probably get 1 person put their hand up. Ask 'who knows of the Ford GT?' and all 100 would probably put their hands up.

I bet the previous owner in 5 years will be kicking himself for trading the limited build TS50 in for a run of the mill BAGT.
