Default My new AU XR8 II 220KW Good Or What?

Hi Guys, I just purchased my new ride today.
Original 66,500km's log books and all.
Premium brakes
Momo Steering wheel and Tbar
Full leather
18 inch Speedy wheels with brand new Pirelli Tyres.
I paid $10,000 but this is the best example AU XR8 I've seen, its's a gem.
Check out the pics have I done good?

I've been looking for a while now and have test drove a few low Km's ones. This one is nice and tight and goes great.
The first owner had the car for 10 years and hardly drove it but got it serviced every year

Love your new XR8 mate, well done.

For ref I paid $9100 nearly one year ago for:

AuII XR8
Option Bodykit
220kw
Momo wheel and tbar
Prem sound
Prem brakes
Leather
Sunroof
91000kms
Narooma Blue

$10k isn't cheap but you bought a great car
Always better to pay a grand or so more and get a better car

Very nice mate. 10k is up there for these days but the quality and low Km's speak for themselves.

May I ask why it has the series 2 rear bumper extension but no side skirts or front pods? Looks smooth though.

I think the general consensus is most would be proud to have that fine example sitting in their drive and BHDOGS is out of touch with what it costs to buy quality in that model - and a great model it is

Yes I think that's a good point indeed. You could possibly pick up a very similar car for half that, but how good is it really?

When I was looking for mine 2 years ago there was quite a few subtle levels of these cars ranging from very good down to very average. Some were priced accordingly and the rest were priced a little up or down on the average of the time.

I know the big thing that sold me on mine was it was the nicest one Id seen by a hell of a long way, after negotiations it was in my budget and ticked the most important boxes bar one, the colour. And I compromised on that for the quality of the rest of the car.

You guys wouldnt want to know what people are asking for good condition au xrs over here in wa!!!
The light blue one in the for sale section here for 8g would go for at least 11-12g in perth,i think its worth to you what you are happy to pay for it.
Personally i think the s2/3 au xr8/t series is still the nicest car ford has ever made(just my opinion)

Thanks mate.
I've booked the old girl in for A Meguires spruce up it's not cheap at $450 but it will look better than brand new. All I need to do then is wash her in Meguires carwash. And then once a year get a polish

Same Body options as mine, Back when they were new if you ordered them with Premo sound, full bodykit, Momo . and leather, they pushed into the then goverment of the days luxury tax bracket +15 % (55K from memory) as the last S11s came with the side skirt standard you could drop the 3 1/2 K for the full kit get the dealer to fit the rear for 500 option the 220kw motor for 1200 and drop back under the tax bracket
