Default Exhaust and Extractors for the AU XR6

What are your thoughts on the following quote...I guess it gives me somthing to work with.

We would recommend a cat back 2.5 inch sports exhaust system with a straight through sports muffler for $280 supplied and fitted. This system will allow the optimal flow of gases from the engine and subsequently improve the overall performance of your car. This system also comes mandrel bent and will provide a great note for your car.

If you want more power you can't go past a set of extractors. We would use a set of Pacemaker extractors which are top of the range. These extractors will not only improve the power and performance of your car, they also have the potential to improve your fuel economy under normal driving conditions. These extractors will be $550 fitted.

Prices are reasonable. If you do a search on extractors and/or exhaust you'll find tons of threads that will help guide you. Heres one that may help anyhow... http://www.fordforums.com.au/showthr...ght=extractors

Just from reading and advice from my cousin in Melb would suggest that it's not worth the extra cash putting in the extractors.

More so to do with the fact that I would be looking at a trade in 2 - 3 years down the line.

Depends. If you want power to play with then yes it is. If its just a car to hold you over till your next one then dont bother.

i have a set of race series Pacemaker extractors and mandrel bent 2.5inch exhaust and the difference blew me away surprisingly
i was sorta just after a nice note outta the inline 6 but wasn't complaining
i originally had trouble doing a stand still with the 18*8 inch rims with no one in the car and only a single spinner diff
now it has no trouble spinning them with one in the front and two in the back
makes thing alot more fun but i don't think $550 for the extractors is reasonable i paid the same as you were quoted for the cat back but only paid $40 for the extractors fitted

Why did you need to get a new setup?

Jim Mocks race series extractors coupled to a single 2.5 inch exhaust will be the single best mod that you can do!!

I am in Perth.

Anyone know any local JMM distributors around the Metro area?
