What are Ranger sales in Europe?
I know Ranger sells remarkably well
In all its markets but what are the rough Euro market numbers

Ford Australia’s latest media release I posted earlier is full on denial, just like how those pushing Biden were this time last year.
We all know how that turned out for them, it’s going to take a bit longer for the same to happen to Ford in this market, but it will happen eventually.
A symptom of legacy manufacturers being complacent and taking the **** out of buyers.

Now get back on your meds.
Give it a rest the the politics will ya

It was a simple comparison drawing parallels between Ford AU and a previous US administration. Nothing more nothing less.

Any references to Politics have been, and will be removed in future. Insulting other members is not what we do, and not what we allow.

Post crap and I'll remove it, I know I won't change your views, so I won't bother trying.

Yet you leave up the unhinged post #xxx which insinuates I’m in a ‘maga cult’ but delete my reply to it?
Where’s the consistency and why give those suffering a mental illness a platform to spew unsubstantiated accusations…

It's a work in progress, and I have a life to function in outside this forum.

From what I can see, Ranger sales in 2024
Australia 62 593
Europe 60 400
So fairly similar in numbers.
I guess the Hybrid will have a bigger impact there compared to here.

While they have limited the PHEV to up-spec models, I'm thinking these variants will end up being fleet sales to companies/governments that prioritize environmental credentials. I'd also expect to see a lot of these in police fleets. In both instances, the reduced load capabilities wouldn't be a factor.

Gov and police will not go this option.....too expensive to justify... my department won't buy anything above base spec....

I guess most here like me expected the PHEV version to be a hybrid using the engine offered in the Ford built Amarok 2.3 EcoBoost coupled with hybrid tech..... 222kW/452Nm with the addition of the electric motors power/torque on top of this.

Hybrid is an absolute requirement in Europe going on. Numbers don't really matter when it's all about remaining in the market. Diesels won't be legally sellable in the future, and even now, most likely won't be able to meet Euro7.

I'm a couple of years away from the ranger development now, but my understanding is that our car will be Euro6 compliant, as the business case for a Euro5 version just for us didn't stack up.

I'm only guessing, but I think most likely there is a torque limitation somewhere in the driveline that prohibited just adding the electric motor straight on to the petrol engine.

Victoria Police use super-cab Ranger XLT with the Bi-Turbo engine for their divy van fleet, so two trim levels above base. I would think the added performance of the PHEV would be desirable for them, while also fitting into the fleet of hybrid Kluger's.

I guess it will depend on the sales performance of the PHEV with private buyers, if it fails to perform, I could see Ford pushing it into fleets trying to reduce their carbon footprint, which is something Toyota are cashing in on with their hybrid fleet.

If they're prepared to slash the price?
