Looking around, there has been some really diabolical names for car models in the past years, and there looks to be a few at the moment! It seems the Asian manufacturers have nearly got a monopoly on the total nonsense style of naming, but Holden has come out with one of their own just recently which I have included in the list below.
Here's a few for starters, but feel free to add to the list if any names have caught your attention, be they hillarious or just stupid. * Holden Barina "SportsGirl" * Nissan Pulsar "Reebok" * Suzuki MightyBoy * Suzuki Jimny * Hyundai Terracan (Terror-Can???!!!) * Nissan Cedric (classic!) * Subaru Sherpa (WTF!) * Ferrari SuperAmerica (honestly, WTF) * Toyota Tercel * Nissan Bongo van ... and as mentioned above, a newcomer from The General! * Rebadged HSV Grange - Buick Royaum "Sporty" !?!? You just have to wonder WTF was going on in the minds of the approval boards who signed off on these names!! : :ticking: :

Personally i think the Cruze is pretty retarded as well...
But then hyundai sonata? huh? Who names cars after Italian musical terminology, especially when it's a heap of crud. Most car names are pretty stupid actually... but hey, I'm just a consumer, I don't know anything... ;) Excel? Excel at what, being sh1thouse?

What about Ford Probe?
What's it gonna probe? Statesman International Greg Norman Edition (winner of the longest name) Holden Sunbird In Indonesia they made a car called the "Timor" Not sure which brand but "Mighty Boy" Not sure if this is official yet but in keeping with Holden Naval names like commodore, senator and even director, Holden is launching the new commodore successor; the "Rear Admiral". Mini trucks called TATA Holden Nova |

There was a short article in Motor or Wheels a while back with some shocking Asian named cars in it. Was perhaps a year or two ago now. I remember the "Geely Beauty Leopard" from some Chinese car company and many others that were just terrible.
In Aus, I think the worst are: Seat (pronounced say-at) but still a stupid brand name for here. Proton Waja - one of the worst selling cars with the worst resale... could be the name??? Daewoo still sounds terrible to my ears, even though they have been around for a while now. I couldnt buy a car with name like that: "What sort of car do you drive?" "... "I drive a Daewoo"... thats a good one for a first date! Suzuki Swift - oxymoron? Holden Adventra - reminds me of Ace Ventura - Pet Detective Mitsubishi Diamante (rebadged Magna) - Diamante = fake Diamonds = try hard Holden Cruz - pronounced Cruzz to rhyme with crud HSV Maloo - something about toilets? Ford Probe (sorry, but it had to be said) and my personal favourite (car and name).......... THE CAMRY SPORTIVO!!!!
