The wing on my AU has a chunk out of it and I need advice on the best way of repairing it.
I was quoted $180 for repair or $195 to replace and was wondering if there is a way of repairing it and what the best way of doing so? Here is a picture of wing

someone get hungry?? haha sorry just looks like a bite mark
Seriously now Fill it with fibreglass then a thin layer of bog to smooth it out, spray putty and a bit of white will get you out of trouble... Although for a supercheap fix, just take it off and put some of those ariel covers or rubber bungs in the holes.. THey can't defect you for that

The RWC place may allow it but I need to take it to vicroads to register it and they may have something to say about it.

You can only try mate & use small white pieces of gaffer tape to hide the holes.
If asked just reply it had chips & its gone to get resprayed. We're all human afterall.

Not to say 'youre full of crap', but i find it very hard to believe that they would defect it? I cant see what grounds they could have to do so unless its restricting your rear view or something.
As has been said, if i were you i would take it off completely, and tape over the holes. I wouldnt put it back on either (dont like spoilers).

They picked it because it has sharp edges.
Its bull s@#t I could understand if it was on front and could hurt pedestrians but not on the boot lid.

Ok, so they defect you for having sharp edges over not having a third brake light? If I were you I'd just cover up the holes and whack a globe in the rear parcel shelf.

not tape, use rubber grommits or bungs, they are everywhere in your engine bay, door jams, floor etc.. They cant fail the car so long as the holes are plugged.
