Hi All
Im new to this site and forums in general so please excuse any bad etiquette. So here's my dilema i have just changed the upper control arm pivot bushes in my old xf ute as it was squeaking more than a whores bed. That fixed the problem for all of 5k's now its back just as bad. Has anyone had this problem before? Any advice greatly appreciated. Cheers Box |

Spray it with brake fluid.
Using a 'Hairdressers' waterspray bottle from any $2 shop

No problem. It used to work for me.
I goes without saying that you DONT get brake fluid on the paintwork though

G'day and welcome
i had the same problem and it was the metal on metal rubbing that caused it, mine was fixed when i replaced them... did you greese them good? have they been torqued up properly? may be the shockies saddle that is worn did you replace that at the same time? You could also try CRC but this won't last if using brake fluid watch your paint. I know how anoing this is i put up with it for years |

Sure its not the upper ball joint squeaking? Have had this problem many times at work. Some of the aftermarket joints dont have provision for grease nipples. I usually poke a small hole in the rubber boot and spray CRC into it with a nozzle. Give it a try.

It's a standard XF feature....... Apparently if it disappears you can go to Ford Spares and order another box of squeaks..........
