Hi
I have a 4.9l Fairmont Wagon (07/78) that has a paint code of Y445. As far as I can tell, XCs has single letter paint codes. Anyone got any idea on this? Cheers! |

I would say it is a special colour - like a company colour ... Brambles Red for example. There is no code listed in the standard colours for it.
Some XCs had two paint codes - signifying a two-tone colour scheme - with the first colour code being the upper colour on the car and the second code being for the lower. And then the Cobras had a unique code as well - Z605 I think from memory. What is the basic colour? ie is it red?, blue? whatever? |

Thanks for that. Hopefully the pic will come up as my profile pic.
Burgundy - Definitly not 2-tone. |

That doesn't look too far from 'Pepper Red'.
Just appears to be 3/4 shades darker. |
