There are various grades so be sure to choose wisely..also be very careful of the preparation too.....

I'm partial to Henkel Terostat...good fillers & bonders. Better than Sika I reckon. I have been reliably informed that Ford use Teroson too.
Prices aren't too bad, try Bursons - although they mainly carry Sika from memory. Google panel beating supplies etc. and see what comes up.

Just to clarify, this is the glue that is now used to bond panels.
Intending to maybe use it to bond some replacement quarters to the XP van rather than welding. Is this the same stuff you guys are talking about? |

sikaflex wont do it but the stuff i was on about there is aspecial process from memory you need some special high temp oven for it. not worth it weld it, lead wipe it and spray it is my opinion.

When I visited the PRB factory in Chullora they used an adhesive that looked a bit like an epoxy resin. Was a 2 part glue, and was applied direct from whatever canister it was stored in, and they had about 30 min before the product set.
Don't remember them mentioning any special oven etc. They used it to glue the joins on the composite fibre Clubmans. After they were glued, they were then reinforced with steel fixtures and rivets. The stuff was so strong that if you used it to glue 2 panels together, pulling them apart would shear the steel before the join parted. As for the name, sorry can't help you. I'm sure it is a similar glue to what panel beaters use to glue new roof sections onto repaired cars. When the Festiva went in for hail damage, the roof was removed, the new one was glued back in, then the original spot welds were re-done. |

I just looked up 9220 and it is air curing but you can heat it up to cure faster if necessary.
