Jeebus.... Hate to think what they're valued at. Two iconic irreplaceable cars.
Almost would have been better off selling them pre gfc though, value might not be too different but there would have been a heap more buyers. |

The gallaher and the Geoghegan castrol car, were for sale, before Gary's passing away.....rumour has it that he was offered 600k for the gallaher in 2007, at the GT Nationals in Perth (pre GFC) but he declined on the offer.p.s I' ve driven both... the Castrol car at the 2003 GT nationals at Bathurst (at the track no less) and the Gallaher in peak hour traffic in Melbourne, at the 75th anniversary of Ford Australia (the homecoming), that was slightly nerve wracking, in this irreplaceable and beautiful car.

Silver GT went for $190000 and was sold.
White GT went for $140000 and was submitted to vendor, obviously not reaching its reserve.

Just to clarify, as I said above, the silver GT went for $190000.
On the news last night they were reporting that it went for $205000. It didn't. The $205000 includes 7.5% buyers premium to the auction site.
